5th of August 2010 - Another award for BIG PEAT

BIG PEAT won a Silver award - Best in Class - at the International Wine & Spirit Competition 2010.
Their comments:"Heavily peated nose with smoke and appropriate medicinal aromatics. Fresh cut nettle more peat and some dark fruity notes. In the mouth some dark, charry oak finds its way through all the peat. A bit of an assault on the senses but it has its attraction. Needless to say, there is a strong peaty character in the finish."

A wee taste of BIG PEAT has now been released into an unsuspecting global community! "I now do not travel anywhere without my own wee 4cls Medicine bottle of BIG PEAT." Fred Laing was heard to say. As he normally has one "spare" about his personage. If you are an opinion former, then perhaps he will have one for you. Watch out for wee Freddy and his BIG PEAT.

22nd of April 2010 - Another award for BIG PEAT. This time BIG PEAT received a Gold Medal in the Young Whisky category at the International Whisky Competition in Chicago. Read the press release here.

15th of April 2010 - Swedish Whisky Club Uisge Beatha in Boras voted Douglas Laing's Old and Rare BANFF 37yo as best Malt Whisky at their tastings in 2009.
