New release of Clan Denny Blended Malt (aka Vatted Malt) Scotch Whisky Under the wings of our sister company Hunter Hamilton, we have released two new editions of our Clan Denny Blended Malt (in here we still talk of Vatted Malt). The new packaging replaces the old decanter and is available with or without a gift tube. The label made from real, old fashioned rag edged paper gives this new pack an authentic and traditional feel, reflecting our similar approach to the Malt - still bottled at 46% and Unchill filtered. We are not looking for uniformity in this small batch production - indeed we seek the unique qualities brought to this Small Batch bottling by the "finger printing" imparted on the Malt from each selected cask. In the SPEYSIDE vatting we have selected casks from Macallan, Glenrothes, Glen Grant, Mortlach and Longmorn distilleries plus two further sought after Speyside Malts whose names we have chosen not to reveal - such is the blender's sorcery. All combine to resonate with a fresh and fruity sweetness, a vanilla & honey quality plus an attactively spicy, toffee'd character. The ISLAY vatting consists of selected casks from Ardbeg, Bowmore, Bruichladdich, Bunnahabhain and Caol Ila distilleries, plus two more further sought after distilleries. All combine to resonate with an ocianic dry saltiness, sweetly peated qualities plus a lingering, lightly smoked and liquorice style. These Malts will be available from Easter and will be tasted for the first time to the general public at the Whisky Festival Noord Nederland in Groningen (the Netherlands) at the Wineworld Holland stand. |
