OUR SISTER GROUP – DOUGLAS McGIBBON

It was a great start to the decade when Douglas McGibbon - with its associate company Douglas Laing & Co - won the coveted Queen’s Award For Export Achievement in 1990.

This award, presented personally by her Majesty the Queen, was mainly due to the incredible growth that overtook the company, based on sales through 1988 to 1990 of the McGibbon’s Golf Range.

This Blended Scotch Whisky - boasting a blend previously reserved for the company’s first customer in Paris - suits golfers the world over to a tee and is extremely popular at the 19 th Hole. Here we must confess we are in that rare breed of Scots never to have taken up the game.

Today the McGibbons company offers a wide selection also of Malts bottled from single casks and in small batches (of no more than 3 barrels) under their registered “Provenance” brand, recently repackaged.
